It was the Rock of Ages premiere. The star who outshone everyone at the red carpet was Malin Akerman. She wore a knee length nude dress with intricate leaf detailing.

Malin got everything just right with her slicked pair hair, and the bright red lips that were beautifully accented by the gold and diamond studs. Though she is best known for her supporting roles, but here, she really competed with the leading lady Julianne Hough.

While Hough did manage to turn a few heads with her daring black dress, but Malin was clearly the winner as far as glamour is concerned.

This movie is about the rocker Stacee Jaxx, who is a womanizing lead singer of the fictional group Arsenal, not your British soccer team.

Interestingly, Tom Cruise who plays the leading character in the movie did not look like the rock star at all. He chose a very casual look for the occasion.

He wore a pair of jeans along with T-shirt, jacket and a pair of sunglasses instead of the long hairs and headbands of the character he plays in the movie.

Talking about eccentric dressing, Russell Brand looked more like the rocker as he donned a pair of skinny jeans, leather jacket, scuffed boots and a scarf.

This movie is based on the Broadway musical of the same name. It is the story of a waitress played by Hough. Named, Sherrie Christian, this person is also an aspiring singer. A busboy falls in love with her during the Eighties glam metal era.

Insiders report that there was one scene in the flick where Hough gives Tom a lap dance. This professional dancer-turned-singer-turned-actress has been quoted saying that enacting this scene was one of her most memorable things in this role. But do remember here that you won’t be able to see this sequence in theatres. It’s on the director’s cut though.

Hough certainly sizzles on the screen, but at the premier she did seem rather demure in her black and white dress that she paired with minimal accessories like the stiletto black shoes and cocktail ring. Her hairs were held back with a black band. We feel that if she had worn a pair of diamond stud earrings, then it would have added the much needed oomph factor to her looks.
